Since marrying my husband, who is in the US Army, I've had the chance to experience life in several different regions of the United States. I began this series of photographs during our stay in West Texas. With the nature of our time in each place being transitory, my idea of "home" takes on an ephemeral quality. I wanted to make images that evoke a warm, familiar, yet slightly distant sensation that matches my experience.
